United’s EFL Championship schedule has changed due to TV broadcast selections up to January 5th, 2026.
Sky Sports will show nine more games live, on top of the changes announced in early July for the first two months of the season.
The away game at Hull City’s MKM Stadium stays on Saturday, October 4th, but will start at 12:30 PM.
United will play Preston North End on Friday, October 24th at 8 PM, moved from its original Saturday slot.
The away match against Coventry City at the CBS Arena remains on Tuesday, November 4th, but will kick off at 8 PM.
The Steel City derby against Sheffield Wednesday has moved to Sunday 23rd November at 12pm.
The first of two TV games against Leicester City will stay on Saturday 29th November at the King Power Stadium, but now kicks off at 12.30pm.
The match at The Hawthorns versus West Bromwich Albion has shifted from Saturday to Friday 12th December at 8pm.
Our Boxing Day game with Wrexham at the STōK Cae Ras stays on Friday 26th December, but now starts at 5.30pm.
The New Year’s Day game against Leicester City (Thursday 1st January) keeps its date but now starts at 5.30pm.
Also, the home match with Oxford United at Bramall Lane stays on Sunday 4th January but begins at 12pm.
While not picked for main broadcast, United’s home game with Portsmouth has changed because the Steel City derby has moved to a Sunday. The match shifts from Tuesday to Wednesday 26th November starting at 7.45pm.
Sticking to the promise to give fans more advance notice, the next round of TV game picks will be announced by November 7th. This covers all matches scheduled between the FA Cup Third Round’s end and the final weekend of February 2026.
